I have to get my brunch on every weekend. With a plethora of options for brunch near me, it’s pretty difficult to choose a location – neither my friends nor I are very good at decision-making, and we always end up choosing out of sheer hunger. But in the end, however, we seem to be picking Cosi Chicago more and more often. With such a wide variety of breakfast and lunch options, the Cosi menu fulfills my every brunch craving while also being easy on the wallet. If you’re on the fence about trying Cosi, there are some stellar Cosi Reviews on Yelp and google that should help you overcome any hesitation you might have.
There are a ton of options on the Cosi menu, but I usually like to start the meal off with a chai tea latte. During the week, I basically inhale highly caffeinated drinks to get through all my work, so I like to slow things down on the weekend with a more calming drink. The blend of cinnamon, ginger, and allspice leaves my stomach warm but light.
Then, depending how I’m feeling that day, I’ll either go with a breakfast or lunch item. For breakfast, I usually gravitate towards Cosi’s Santa Fe sandwich, either on a squagel (square-shaped bagel – who knew that was a thing?) or a whole wheat wrap. It’s a delicious mix of eggs, bacon, gouda, and pico de gallo with a generous spread of sun-dried tomato spread. For lunch, I either get an individual flatbread pizza or one to share with my friends. The hearth-baked flatbread is freshly made every day, which you can immediately tell when your teeth sink into the warm, chewy crust. The barbeque chicken flatbread pizza is a winner for my friends and me: smoked gouda, red onion, and fresh cilantro marry perfectly with the chicken to create a hearty meal.
Although those are my go-to’s at Cosi, some of my other favorites include the Shanghai chicken salad, chicken and dumpling soup, and Thai curry bowl. The salad is part of Cosi’s Smart Fit menu, which aims to help supplement a balanced diet and active lifestyle: every item on this menu include vegetables, fruit, or whole grain and is a source of lean protein.
Also, even if you’re not looking to eat a whole meal, I’ve found myself countless times working at Cosi while snacking on a pastry. With reliable, speedy Wi-Fi, Cosi fits in well with the multiple study locations I rotate through. Sometimes, the the office is too silent and the home is too distracting, but Cosi is a perfect middle ground with a quiet murmur in the background that is soothing but doesn’t distract. Armed with a caramel latte and either a large brownie or slice of lemon pound cake, I’ve a ton of work done at Cosi Chicago.
Brunch doesn’t get much better than this – it’s a great way to start off the weekend with friends. But, if you’re pressed for time and can’t make it, FoodBoss can help you avoid the FOMO of missing brunch. Check out Cosi delivery options near you!
