Chan
Chan is the name of a drink popular in Honduras and El Salvador that is essentially a lemonade with chia seeds along with a portion of Jamaica (hibiscus) water added which gives it it's lite reddish color. It's very tasty and refreshing over ice or just chilled. Chan and chia seeds are from different plants but of the same plant family and virtually the same in most ways. We use chia seeds because they have a slightly higher nutritional value. The texture of prepped chia seeds is reminiscent of smaller baby tapioca.
